PCB Engineer / Wet Process

Anaren is searching for an experienced Printed Circuit Board Engineer with a strong chemical background in Wet Process PCB manufacturing to support our market leading RF/Microwave component and sub-system product development and fabrication
This position will work closely with our product design teams and customers to help develop new processes, ensuring they are implemented with defined plans for training, qualification, transition to production, and with appropriate controls in place for sustained production.

Responsibilities:
1. Work with business unit management teams in support of development of new product and technology roadmaps. Provide input into defining capabilities required to meet the current and future needs and develop and execute plans to achieve.
2. Perform Design of Experiments (DOE's) as necessary to ensure new processes are centered.
3. Ensure critical process parameters are properly identified, effectively measured, monitored, and have prescribed corrections if required.
4. Ensure conformance to Product Development Process; monitor, track and report status of all projects.
5. Manage and provide input to ensure compliance to product specifications and defining project milestones to meet schedule requirements.
6. Interface with Marketing, Product Design Engineering, Documentation, Quality, and Manufacturing; effectively communicate critical technical information regarding system design and performance, schedule, specifications and cost.
7. Define and implement best practices to ensure a safe work environment and compliance with all environmental regulations and standards with regard to material handling and proper chemical waste disposal.
8. Interface with customers and key suppliers (occasional travel may be necessary).

Required Skills
* Strong Chemical Process background to support Wet Process PCB manufacturing technologies (emphasis on RF material sets), including photo imaging, circuit etch, plating, waste treatment and environmental.
* Experience in managing multiple engineering projects utilizing internal engineering staff and external resources including multiple manufacturing sites and outside suppliers.
* Strong communication (verbal, written, presentation) skills.
* Ability to build effective partnerships with internal and external suppliers.
* Excellent track record in managing projects through release to manufacturing. - Experience with yield improvement and risk management.
* Strong technical leadership and excellent people skills, as well as the ability to function effectively across department lines.
* Ability to lead teams in the application of structured analytical methods to solve design problems, experience with design of experiment, SPC, modeling and engineering CAD tools and ISO quality systems practices as applied to process development and manufacturing.
* Working knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and FMEA.

Educational Requirements:
* Advanced Chemical Engineering degree with ten years PCB engineering experience.
* Additional Requirements: Must be eligible to work on defense and satellite programs subject to ITAR regulations.
